This past Monday, our production test for B15 ceiling panels was successfully completed at RINA in Italy. RINA is a globally operating testing and certification organization specializing in maritime classification and safety testing, ensuring internationally recognized results.
For these B15 ceiling panels, we use Promat’s 19mm PLURATECT® MARINE LIGHT in combination with steel profiles and the DALFRATHERM®-1260ULS BLANKET, a high-end insulation solution. PLURATECT® MARINE LIGHT is a lightweight, non-combustible, and robust calcium sulfate dihydrate board developed for maritime applications, while the DALFRATHERM®-1260ULS BLANKET is a premium thermal insulation blanket with excellent fire and acoustic performance.
Johan van Tilburg, Managing Director, Drumarkon International BV:
“This is fantastic news for the yacht building industry. We are extremely pleased with this result; the development of these ceiling panels has taken three years, including engineering, testing, and fine-tuning production. With this, we offer our clients a certified, lightweight, and fire-safe ceiling solution that fully meets the quality standards demanded in the superyacht sector.”
Following this successful test, we can now start production and are ready to support the first projects at shipyards and interior specialists in the yacht building industry.
