Etex, a leader in lightweight construction solutions headquartered in Belgium, signed and closed the acquisition of Drumarkon, a Netherlands-based producer and supplier of high-quality fire protection panels for the shipbuilding and yacht construction markets.

This deal further expands Etex and its Promat technology platform and brand’s expertise. It enables the company to provide customers with full solutions in the marine market for shipyards, interior outfitters, and marine operators worldwide. These solutions include panels for fire protection, noise absorption, vibration damping, and thermal insulation.

The shipbuilding and yacht construction market grows around 5% per year, driven by fire safety regulations, sustainability requirements and increase demand in yacht building.
