Drumarkon International B.V. welcomes a new face to the team: Jiska Stauthamer – van Tilburg. In early February, she joined as an inside sales representative. As the daughter of Drumarkon director Johan van Tilburg, the shipbuilding industry is not unfamiliar to her. With this new role, she has made a conscious decision to further develop herself within this sector.
A new challenge in a familiar company
Although Jiska was already well acquainted with Drumarkon, working there was not an obvious choice for her. “I found it important to first gain independent experience,” she explains. For nearly ten years, Jiska worked passionately in the healthcare sector. “Working in healthcare is wonderful,” she continues. “But the combination of irregular hours and a young family led me to make a career switch to a job with more structure.”
After several positive discussions with the Drumarkon management team, Jiska made her decision: in early February, she officially joined Drumarkon.
A versatile role with plenty of challenges
Jiska is currently focused on familiarizing herself with the company and production processes. She actively participates in various tasks both in the office and in the factory, from processing incoming quotation requests to preparing full pallets for transport.
“Today, I worked in the factory to better understand the products and production process,” she says enthusiastically. “It was quite challenging, but incredibly educational.”
As an inside sales representative, Jiska’s role is diverse. She enjoys the variety it offers—a combination of responsibility, planning, communication, and problem-solving. “No two days are the same, and it’s exactly that dynamic that makes it so exciting.”
Learning, growing, and building the future
Her first weeks at Drumarkon have been a positive experience. “Everyone takes the time to explain things and guide me through the process. I’m really enjoying it.”
In the coming period, Jiska’s focus will be on learning, growing, and building relationships with colleagues and customers. With enthusiasm and curiosity, she looks forward to her future at Drumarkon, where she hopes to deepen her knowledge and make a valuable contribution to the team.
